How much do sessions costs?

Weddings begin at $3400 and hourly sessions begin at $350.

What services do you offer?

I love being part of every chapter. I enjoy covering senior portraits, family sessions, weddings, engagements…The only sessions I do not currently offer are newborn portraits. I can do in home sessions however I am not equipped for studio newborn portraits.

Do you offer mini-sessions?

Yes I do! I’m hoping in 2023 to offer one mini session during the spring, summer and fall months. Information will be shared once those dates and locations are selected.

How do I book you for a session?

Reach out via ‘Schedule a Session’ to share info regarding your session. Varying deposits are required for each session, along with a signed contract.

How do you distribute your images?

Images are distributed through an online gallery delivered via email where you can purchase prints, download and share with friends and family. For an extra fee, I can provide you a thumb drive with your images.

What is your style of photography?

My approach with photography is a very 50/50 approach. I believe in capturing the posed and the unposed, but will tailor each session to whatever style you’re more interested in.

What is your style of editing?

I edit images to reflect how it was in real life, but with a little more pop. However, I’m not tied down to a specific style. I love working with my clients and figuring out the best edit that suits them. I’ll give you the right language to communicate what you are desiring in photography.

What’s your turn-around time?

For non wedding sessions, my turn around time is two weeks. For weddings, it is a month unless otherwise communicated.

Do you shoot film?

Yes. I have several film cameras and can offer that with any package. It is an additional fee.

Do you shoot video?

Yes, we have shot around 10 wedding videos and offer that as a possible add on to all wedding packages. We have not advertised it, just relied solely on word of mouth! We offer both documentary style and cinematic video styles.

Do you have a drone?

Yes, and a pilot license. Please utilize it since I had to take a test for it.

How involved are you on a wedding day?

I’m as involved as you want me to be. I am equally comfortable steering the ship as I am being a fly on the wall.

What’s your personality?

I am extroverted and calm, with a sense of humor. (It’s also awkward explaining yourself on the internet)

Do I receive printing rights?

Yes, you will have the ability to print your photos wherever you please with every type of session I offer.

Are you willing to travel?

We have photographed in Cancun, Las Vegas, and Washington, along with every major city of Michigan. Travel fees vary for session type and location, please inquire. As for ‘drive-able’ locations, travel rates begin outside of 30 minutes of Alto.

Who second-shoots with you?

You’ll be working with my fiance, Ryan, who is an incredible problem solver or my sister, Katie, who has an eye for details. Both have worked alongside me my entire wedding career.

What if it rains?

When scheduling, I often pencil in a ‘rain date’ as a back up in case we come across bad weather. It is no extra cost to reschedule. However, given the nature of Michigan, I typically wait until morning of / night before to cancel a session. Wind may be another reason we reschedule a session.

Do you have a studio?

Hopefully by 2023 I will! Crossing my fingers, it’s currently top of the project list. It’ll be located on our property in Alto, MI.

I’ve never had professional photos done, is this a problem?

Not at all! It gets easier after the first few photos. Most clients are new to this, I do not expect you to know what to do. I’ll give you instructions to help you pose and feel natural in front of the camera.

What locations do you serve without additional charges?

I photograph in areas such as Grand Rapids, Lowell, Alto, Ionia, Portland, Ada, and Forest Hills at no extra travel fee.

Is this ‘all you do’?

This is a frequent question by people and I’m not sure why people ask it. Yes. This is all I do and I love every minute of it.
